Olive Festival (Festa e Ullirit)

The Olive Festival was organized by the association "ODA" on September 29-30, 2018 in Lukova in one of the olive groves located in the north-western area of ​​Lukova, on the border with Borsh.


This project was undertaken for the first time in the village of Lukova and aimed not only at promoting tourism in this area, but first and foremost at promoting Lukova's businesses and agritourists who are well known for the quality of extra olive oil.




This celebration aims to create an annual tradition to consolidate a sustainable tourism in the area and beyond, promoting local production values ​​and agritourism.

This year the celebration lasted only two days focusing on the holiday - the fair on Saturday, the tasting of local products, and on Sunday the exhibition of the fair again.

It is intended for next year that this fair will last more than 4 days including all the surroundings of this area.



The celebration was attended by:


-Over 5 important areas of the Lukova area.

-(Oil Y. Hajdin, Olive Boci, Paradise Lukova, Joni sh.p.k, Olive grove Likaj)

-Over 10 domestic producers with agricultural products.

-Artisans of the area.

-Different personalities of local and central government.

- Other partners.


As part of the celebration, the following other activities took place:


-The holiday was covered on national television, radio and social media (online).

-The symbolic harvesting of an olive variety was carried out, which is the earliest olive grove in this area, thus opening the olive harvest season in Lukova.

- Part of the decor was also the scenography made especially for this celebration.

-Also a concert with folk songs and dances where all age groups participated.

-Awards for the highest quality oil and participants were distributed.

-On the occasion of this festive fair, a banquet with bio products of the area was laid.

-A video documentary on the Olive Festival was made, where all the products and olive by-products were presented.
